Rochester Woman Charged in Bath Drug Death

State Police Investigators have charged a Rochester woman with supplying the fentanyl-laced narcotics that killed a man in Steuben County last year.

Troopers say 59-year-old Nancy Alvarez was arrested this week on a warrant from Steuben County Court. She's accused of selling a 48-year-old Bath man the drugs that killed him on August 21st, 2017. The victim's death was determined by the Monroe County Medical Examiner and the State Police Crime Lab to be caused by a fentanyl overdose. Investigators were able to identify Alvarez as the victim's drug dealer.

She's being held without bail pending an appearance in court.
