Police and SWAT teams are conducting a number of raids around the Rochester area in search of drugs and weapons. A number of police agencies are taking part, including Rochester Police, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, US Border Patrol, the FBI, ATF, and the Irondequoit Police.
State Police say the raids are the result of an investigation into drug trafficking in Monroe County, involving heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, illegally possessed weapons and untaxed cigarettes.
The investigation is ongoing. State Police say more details will be released as they become available.
