Rochester Police Arrest Teen In Connection With September Double Homicide

A 17-year-old Rochester man is facing charges in connection with a double homicide on Wilkins Street back in September.

Rochester Police say they have arrested Kyrell Gilroy and charged him with two counts of second degree murder for the deaths of Markwaun Williams and Justin Siler.

Police say on September 20th they responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 370 Wilkins Street and learned that two victims had been transported to the hospital by personal vehicles. Both victims were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Police say Gilroy was taken into custody at an apartment complex on Dewey Avenue early this morning with the help of U.S. Marshals. Gilroy also had a warrant for his arrest for criminal tampering with evidence in an unrelated assault stabbing case.
