Rochester police say a 23-year-old city man was shot once in the leg near the Rochester Transit Center.
It happened on a sidewalk on the Clinton Avenue side of the building. The man went inside to get help and is recovering at Strong. The shooter remains at large.
Police stress the shooting did not occur inside -- or stem from activity inside, the Transit Center. The Transit Center remained open.
