Gov. Cuomo Signs Bill Increasing Compensation for Gold Star Parents

Governor Cuomo has signed a bill increasing compensation for Gold Star parents.

Until now, they've only been eligible for 500 dollars a year.  The new law allows them a yearly increase at a rate equal to the percentage increase of benefits approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs.

The Gold Star annuity provides financial help to parents whose children have died defending our country.
