Demolition Underway at Seneca Park Zoo's Former Main Building

Now that the new exhibits are open at Seneca Park Zoo, work is underway to tear down the zoo's former main building.

The demolition completes the first phase of zoo improvements -- which included the new Cold Asia habitats and the Animals of the Savanna expansion.   The demolition is expected to be finished by the end of the year.

Plans call for construction to start in 2020 on a new Tropics Complex, featuring gorillas, orangutans, and lemurs.
