Hamlin Homicide Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing

The suspect in last month's double homicide in Hamlin has waived a preliminary hearing on the probable cause for his arrest.

That means the grand jury will consider the case against 19-year-old Mason Earle of Hamlin. He was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Alexander Burrow of Clarkson and Bruce Kane of Sweden. The bodies were found in a burned-out car.

Investigators say the shooting was related to a marijuana deal.
