Report: Proposed Seneca Falls Landfill Deal

Seneca Falls, NY -- There may be an agreement to keep the big landill in Seneca Falls open through 2037.

FingerLakes1.com reports the existence of documents that appear to amend the existing host agreement between the Town and the Seneca Meadows Landfill.

The Town would receive annual payments of no less than $5 million per year -- totaling at least $100 million.

Town Supervisor Greg Lazzaro says the deal will give The Town "economic stability and viability."

The proposed deal could be discussed at Tuesday night's town board meeting.
