Rochester Police Release More Information Following Shootings

Rochester police have named the two men killed in yesterday's double homicide.

Police say 24-year-old Markwaun Williams and 26-year-old Justin Siler were gunned down on Wilkins Street, near Hudson Avenue. No suspects are in custody.

Two men were wounded hours later in a shooing near Genesee and Hawley Streets. Twenty-year-old Gregory Williams is in guarded condition and 22-year-old Jaquan Fields is out of the hospital.

In a third shooting, a 17-year-old was wounded in a shooting last night near Thomas and Weeger Streets.

There have been no arrests in any of the shootings.

Interim Rochester Police Chief Mark Simmons held a news conference today, and says that he doesn't believe that these shootings are related.

Chief Simmons says patrols will be stepped up in the area, and is asking the public to come forward in the future if they are ever a witness to a crime.
