NYC Public Advocate Leticia James Wins Democratic Primary for State AG

New York City Public Advocate Leticia James has won the four-way Democratic primary for state attorney general.

James defeated Fordham Law professor Zephyr Teachout, Hudson Valley Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney and lawyer Leecia Eve.

If she wins the general election, James would become the state's first African-American attorney general.

She faces Republican Keith Wofford in November.
