Tops Markets Files Reorganization Plan with Bankruptcy Court

There is more news today from Tops. The supermarket chain has filed a formal reorganization plan with the bankruptcy court. 

Tops says it has the backing of its unions and some its biggest lenders. The chain announced yesterday it will be closing ten underperforming stores -- including five in the Rochester area. 

A hearing is set for September 27, and the company intends to seek confirmation of the plan on November 8.
