Gov. Cuomo Signs Legislation Banning Anyone Under 18 From Indoor Tanning

You now have to be 18 or older to use a tanning salon in New York State.

Governor Cuomo has signed legislation banning children under the age of 18 from using indoor tanning facilities. Previous law didn't allow anyone under the age of 17 to tan in a tanning salon.

Governor Cuomo hopes the move protects more children from the harmful effects of indoor tanning booths such as skin cancer.
