LCSO: Hamlin Woman Charged with DWI After Going Wrong Way on I-390

A Hamlin woman is charged with DWI after authorities say she was driving drunk, and going the wrong way on I-390 last Friday night.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says they received several 911 calls about a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-390 near Exit 9 in the Town of Avon.

The Sheriff’s Office say a Deputy was able to quickly make it to the scene and witnessed the vehicle going the wrong way. The Deputy was able to drive parallel with the vehicle to get it to stop south of Exit 8 in the Town of Geneseo.

Following an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, 58-year-old Cynthia Harper, was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a one way street.  Harper was later found to have a BAC of .14 percent.

No injuries were reported.
