There is a new policy at East High School regarding the use of cell phones. Starting with the upcoming school year, students will not be allowed to have cell phones in class.
Under the new policy, cell phones will be collected from all students upon entering the building at the start of the school day, and will be returned to students during dismissal. According to a statement on the school’s website, the purpose of this policy is to ensure that each minute of instructional time is used productively, free from electronic distractions.
School starts on September 5th.
