Bail Increased For Batavia Football Player Accused in Stabbing

Bail has been increased for a Batavia football player accused of stabbing a teammate. Antwan Odom, 18, is accused of stabbing teammate and neighbor Ray Leach, 17, several times with a knife during a fight Saturday afternoon. According to a police report, Odom claims Leach has been wanting to fight him. He said it started after Leach accused him of stealing weed, calling Leach a drug dealer. According to court papers, following his arrest, Odom told investigators he didn't have a knife saying, "There must have been something on the house that was sharp." Odom is also facing aggravated DWI charges for an incident on April 8 where he was allegedly impaired by drugs while driving a car with children under the age of 16. Odom is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday.
