Truck Driver Who Brought Down Henrietta Power Lines, Issued Citation

Sheriff's deputies have handed citations to the dump truck driver involved in the power line mishap on Lehigh Station Road in Henrietta.

The driver is a resident of Florida and was cited for an inoperable warning light and exceeding the vehicle height limit. Authorities say the light would have warned the driver that he had not lowered the truck bed before he drove away from Rush Henrietta High School and snagged the overhead lines.

The truck brought down 15 utility poles and knocked out power to 1200 RG&E customers.

The poles have been replaced and electricity has been restored to the affected area. Other utilities are still stringing their lines on the new poles.
