Rochester Man Convicted of Killing Girlfriend, Sentenced 26 Years to Life

The Rochester man convicted of killing his girlfriend last July, is learning his fate.

The Monroe Co. DA's Office says Terry Williams has been sentenced to 26 1/3 to life in prison for the death of Cheryl Robinson.

Prosecutors say Williams killed Robinson by shoving a towel in her mouth, binding her hands and ankles, and wrapping a gag around her mouth, head and feet. Williams left her that way for weeks, causing her to die by asphyxiation.

Her body was discovered by police.
