Rochester Issuing Requests for Proposals for City Skatepark

The City of Rochester is inviting consultants to submit design proposals for an urban skatepark along South Avenue near the 490 bridge over the Genesee River. City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Alaimo says the city also wants ideas from skateboard fans.

The city has budgeted $2 million for the skatepark and wants it to be ready by the fall of 2019.

Proposals from design firms are due August 17.
