City Reaches Deal with Pegulas for Interim Management of Blue Cross Arena

City officials in Rochester have reached an agreement that hands over interim management of the Blue Cross Arena to Terry and Kim Pegula. 

Pegula Sports and Entertainment, will take over on an interim basis starting August first, and the city is aiming to have a permanent management operation in place by the start of the New Year. 

The city announced the end of the management agreement with SMG at the end of June. It formally ends today. SMG has managed the arena since 2000. 

Mayor Lovely Warren released a statement this afternoon saying "The Pegulas' organization is known throughout Western New York for excellence in management and sports entertainment. Having PSE manage the arena will improve the fan experience and bring additional entertainment events to this important job-creating facility."
