Candidate for governor Cynthia Nixon is taking another step forward today in her campaign. She's submitting a petition to be placed on the Democratic primary ballot.
The deadline to file is today and Nixon plans to show off all the signatures she received this afternoon in Brooklyn.
The actress and activist is trying to defeat Governor Cuomo in September's primary.
