Gov. Cuomo: NY's Maple Industry Hits 74-Year Production Record

Governor Cuomo says New York's maple industry hit a 74-year record in 2018 with the production of more than 800-thousand gallons of maple syrup.

The maple industry in New York has grown by nearly 50 percent in the last five years and continues to maintain the state's standing as the second leading producer in the nation.

New York had more than two million maple taps in production this year.  The New York State Fair will celebrate by holding its first-ever Maple Day on Monday, August 27th.
