A man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Shaquan McMillan last October in a parking lot near Beach and Lake avenues in Charlotte.
Earlier this week an indictment was unsealed charging Darrin Jones with two counts of murder and robbery.
Police say Jones has been in custody since November of last year on an unrelated weapons charge. He pled guilty in that case and was sentenced to two years in prison.
He'll be back in court on the murder charges, next month.
