Greece Police Chief Recommends Andrew Forsythe for Deputy Chief

A former Undersheriff at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office is in line for a new job.

Greece Police Chief Pat Phelan says he's recommended Andrew Forsythe become his deputy chief.

Forsythe would succeed Richard Downs, who is retiring after 22 years of service. The Greece Town Board could vote tonight to approve his nomination.

Forsythe left the County Sheriff's Office after Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn lost the election for another term last November.
