Gates Police Release More Info Following Arrest in Buffalo Rd. Homicide

Gates police are praising Canadian border authorities for their help catching the suspect in yesterday's homicide on Buffalo Road.

Witnesses got the license plate when Roger Wiggins drove off yesterday, and police Lieutenant David Sapienza says Wiggins was trying to flee the country and was caught at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge. Canadian border agents said he was acting suspiciously, so they detained him.

Wiggins is charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of girlfriend Tracy Henton-Williams. She was stabbed multiple times before she fell -- or was pushed -- from Wiggins' Jeep on Buffalo Road and died later at Strong hospital.

Wiggins is being held without bail.
