SUNY Board of Trustees Votes to Rescind Honorary Degrees From 2 Recipients

A couple recipients of honorary degrees from SUNY schools are losing them.

Late last week the SUNY Board of Trustees voted to rescind honorary degrees from Bill Cosby and fired Metropolitan Opera conductor James Levine.

Cosby had recently been convicted of sexual assault and Levine was fired from the opera for sexually abusive and harassing conduct. Cosby received the honorary degree in 2000 from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and Levine's came from SUNY Potsdam.
