Genesee Co. Sheriff's Office Identifies Woman Killed in Batavia Motel Room

Authorities say they still haven't found any relatives of the woman who was killed at a Batavia motel -- but they are releasing her name in hopes someone knows her.

Genesee County Undersheriff Greg Walker says Sherri Coleen Butler was 58. He says she'd been in Rochester before coming to Batavia about four years ago -- but they still can't locate any family members.

Butler was killed in her room at the Sunset Motel with a puncture wound to the artery in her neck. No weapon has been found. There was no sign of forced entry. And there are no cameras at the motel.
