Rochester Police Investigating After Driver Nearly Hits Pedestrian

Rochester police say they know the driver who seemingly tried to run down a pedestrian, then crashed into a parked car and drove away.

Security cameras outside a corner store on Clifford Avenue caught it all on video Friday night.  It shows two people running toward the store and rounding the corner. The car appears, turns the same corner, then reverses. One of the pedestrians comes back into view, and the car appears to speed up toward that person and hits the parked car.

Rochester police say they found the driver and ticketed him. But they need the pedestrians to come forward to file more serious charges.
