Governor Cuomo is calling for continued vigilance as flu diagnoses continue to rise across the state.
He says there has been a seven percent increase in lab-confirmed cases of flu statewide -- and nearly 17-thousand confirmed influenza cases reported to the state health department.
The governor is urging all residents to get vaccinated for the flu. A report issued by the CDC yesterday said this year's vaccine is only 36 percent effective against the flu virus.
