A woman from Nunda ia accused of stealing money from a cancer benefit. Patty Wilkins, 32, was arrested in connection with a scheme to defraud investigation. Nunda Police said Wilkins held a benefit event in November 2017 for a cancer victim. Investigators say Wilkins took in a few hundred dollars from the benefit and promised prizes to various winners. However, Wilkins never paid out any of the prizes and kept the money in her personal account. Police arrested and charged Wilkins with four counts of petit larceny.
