Union Representing Airport Firefighters Ratifies New Contract with County

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo says the union representing nearly two dozen airport firefighters has ratified a new contract with the county.

The new agreement runs through the end of 2022. It guarantees airport firefighters will receive a raise every year, with an average of 1.4 percent annually over the next five years.

Airport firefighters will also receive healthcare coverage under Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield’s BluePoint2 Value 2 Plan.

The contract still needs final approval from the county legislature.
