Arrest Made Following Hit and Run Crash Near Geneva

An Illinois man is facing charges for a hit-and-run crash near Geneva.

It happened last night on Routes 5 and 20 at Pre-Emption Road when deputies say his pickup truck rear ended a state van for the developmentally disabled.

The van driver and a patient needed treatment for head and neck pain. Witnesses watched the pickup crash into a snow bank, and watched the driver walk to a convenience store.

That's where deputies arrested Chad Roberson. The charges include DWI, leaving the scene, and driving without a license.
