Plan for Whole Foods Market In Brighton Clears Procedural Milestone

The plan to bring a Whole Foods market to Monroe Avenue in Brighton has cleared another procedural milestone. 

The Town Board has voted to file the final environmental impact statement for the development.The development plan now includes additional measures to minimize traffic congestion. 

Left turns will be added to Monroe Avenue, and a rear access road will be added behind businesses across the street to funnel traffic to the light at the Whole Foods entrance. 

Another public hearing is scheduled for February 28.
