New York State Police troopers are being equipped with a fleet of drones.
Authorities announced plans to deploy 18 drones across the state. Two of the drones were purchased with state funds, while 16 others were funded by the New York State Trooper Foundation.
Troopers are being trained at the State Police Academy in Albany to use the devices for accident reconstruction and search-and-rescue missions.
