Parole Absconder Leads Police on Chase

A parole absconder is in custody after a chase that began late last night in East Rochester. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the chase began in the village around 11 p.m. when parole officers tried to arrest Jason Arnold. Authorities say Arnold drove away, striking an East Rochester police car. He drove into Penfield and crashed into a ditch near Panorama Trail and Route 441. He ran off but was spotted about a quarter mile away and was caught after a foot chase.
