New Supervisor in Town of Ontario Resigns

The new Supervisor in the Town of Ontario has resigned -- just days after being sworn into office.

Supervisor Joe Molino sent a resignation letter to the town clerk yesterday.

He cited "extenuating circumstances" but did not give the specific reason for his decision.

Molino served as supervisor between 2004 and 2007, and narrowly defeated incumbent John Smith in the November election. The town board will appoint a supervisor, possibly at a meeting Monday evening.
