The Rochester Police Department is announcing some changes to the command staff.
Effective next month, Captain La’Ron Singletary will be promoted to Deputy Chief, succeeding the retiring Wayne Harris. Lieutenant Elena Correia will succeed Singletary as Commander of the Administrative Services Division. And Lieutenant Fabian Rivera will be promoted to Commander of the Special Operations Division, succeeding the retiring Tim List.
In his new position, Captain Singletary will focus on communications and community engagement, and will serve as the department's primary Public Information Officer.
