Woman Accused Of Running Over Greece Cop

Greece, NY -- A Rochester woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly ran over a Greece police officer with her car.

Police say Gabrielle Thomas was suspected of shoplifting Tuesday night from the American Eagle Outfitters store at Greece Ridge Mall. She's accused of driving over Officer Jacob Phelan's legs as he chased her and another woman.

The car was damaged, and Thomas was caught running from the scene. The other woman ran away.

Phelan is out of the hospital and is expected to fully recover. He is a one-year veteran.

Thomas is charged with robbery, assault, reckless endangerment, petit larceny and driving without a license. Bail was set at $25,000.
