Charter School Receptionist Fired; Allegedly Had Sex with Student

A receptionist at a Rochester charter school has been fired amid allegations of sexual misconduct. The receptionist at Vertus High School was fired last week after it was learned that she sent inappropriate Facebook messages to several students this past summer. School officials also learned she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student who was at least 17-years-old --  over the age of consent.  She began working at Vertus in January after undergoing a thorough background check. Rochester Police are now investigating.
