Rochester police say someone driving a dark car struck and killed a woman on Elmwood Avenue near Wilson Boulevard.
Police say the woman was struck by the eastbound car shortly before 6 a.m. as she crossed Elmwood from the UofR campus. The car did not stop.
The woman died this morning at nearby Strong Memorial Hospital.
Elmwood was closed this morning for the investigation between Genesee Street and Kendrick Road.
