Loved ones are marking the first anniversary of the death of 3-year-old Brook Stagles.
A memorial service was held this morning at Christ the King Church in Irondeqouit. Brook died after her intestine was ruptured by a blow to her abdomen.
Her father's girlfriend, Erica Bell, was recently sentenced to 25-years-to-life in prison for murder and manslaughter.
Brook's father is awaiting sentencing for criminally negligent homicide.
