Senator Schumer is using his legislative power to block two nominations for positions in the Department of Commerce.
He's protesting what he says is the Trump Administration’s failure to resolve the ongoing investigations into the impact of steel and aluminum imports on national security.
Without a resolution, Schumer says imports are surging -- hurting businesses with plants in New York, including Klein Steel in Rochester.
Schumer and eight other Senate Democrats are urging the administration to complete the investigations as soon as possible.
