Formal Sentencing Set for Man Charged with Murder in Liquor Store Killing

Formal sentencing is set for this afternoon for Kevin Quander -- the parolee who admitted killing liquor store owner Charlotte Lahr at her store in March.

Quander pleaded guilty in August to first-degree murder and attempted robbery.

Prosecutors say Quander tried to rob the store on South Avenue, and beat Lahr with a wine bottle when she resisted. Quander is 60 and will likely die behind bars.

The plea agreement called for 36 years in prison.
