Forty one Rochester area high school students are among this year's National Merit Scholarship semifinalists.
There were eight from Pittsford-Mendon, seven from Brighton, five from Corning-Painted Post and four each from Penfield and Pittsford-Sutherland.
There were none from the City of Rochester schools.
The 16,000 semifinalists nationwide were determined by scores on last year's PSAT exam.
