The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has arrested a couple from Clyde. The woman is accused of leaving her 3-year-old with her intoxicated boyfriend. Kaitlyn Zimmerman, 22, and Rodrigo Morales, 25 have been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The Sheriff's Office claims Zimmerman called 911 for help on August 1 and hung up. Police say when they called Zimmerman back she allegedly denied calling and hung up. Deputies say they came to the home and found Morales walking nearby. They say he left the 3-year-old alone and Zimmerman was unaccounted for. Deputies say Morales was in possession of cocaine. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. The child has been turned over to a family member.
