Teen Accused of Shooting at RPD Officer, Pleads Guilty

A guilty plea today for the teen accused of shooting at a Rochester Police Officer.

Seventeen-year-old Ernestiaze Moore pleaded guilty Tuesday to second degree attempted murder for shooting at Rochester Police Officer Kelly Phillips back in February.

Authorities say Moore had aimed at Officer Phillips with a semi-automatic handgun and fired a shot from about ten feet away. Officer Phillips was not struck.

Moore is facing 20 years in prison and five years post release supervision when he is sentenced in September.
