The dog that was reportedly stolen from a front yard in the Village of Clifton Springs has been returned. The Ontario County Humane Society says the blonde Shih-Tzu mix named Katie was brought to an animal shelter in Waterloo by a person who found her running in the area of Route 488 in the Town of Phelps, NY. Ontario County Humane Society and Sheriff’s Office had reported the possible theft of the dog sometime between 11a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, from the yard of a home on The East Main Street in the village of Clifton Springs. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the circumstances of her disappearance. Anyone with information should call Sheriff’s Office at 585-394-4560.
