Word today of the passing of former Channel 10 meteorologist John Hambleton.
A native New Englander, he was at Channel 10 from 1974 to 1993.
Hambleton passed away after a brief illness at his home in Centerville, Massachusetts. He was 84.
State Senator Rich Funke worked alongside him at Channel 10, and recalls Hambleton was "a wonderful, talented, and funny man who ultimately became a Rochester treasure."
