A Rochester couple charged in the death of a three-year-old girl are in court today for a pre-trial hearing.
Erica Bell is charged with murder and manslaughter in the November death of her boyfriend's daughter, Brook Stagles. The child's father -- Michael Stagles -- is charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Prosecutors say Brook Stagles died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen. A judge ruled prosecutors can use their statements to Child Protective Services as evidence at their upcoming trial.
