Gates Police Make Arrest in Connection With Overdose Death

Gates Police have made an arrest in connection with an overdose death.

Police say they have charged Dominic Hobbs with criminally negligent homicide in connection with the death of a 41-year-old Gates woman, who died of an overdose last Friday.

Following an investigation, police believe the woman purchased cocaine and heroin from Hobbs just a couple of hours prior to her death.

Officers were able to take Hobbs into custody after setting up an undercover drug buy.

Hobbs was also charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance and was sent to the county jail without bail because he is a predicate felon.
