Rochester Police Arrest Man Following Drive-By Shooting

Rochester police have named the city man arrested after an officer witnessed a drive-by shooting on the city's southwest side.

It happened around 10:30 last night on Thurston Road, when the officer saw a vehicle pull up to another vehicle -- and shots were fired into the second vehicle, wounding a man.

The first vehicle wouldn't pull over and led police on a pursuit that ended with the arrest of Travis Bowman at St. Paul and Ward streets.

The victim was wounded in the leg and is expected to recover. Bowman faces assault and drug charges and traffic violations.
